Welcome to the Kingdom of Dor! My name is King Phillip. I have reigned over this peaceful kingdom for twenty years, since the death of my father, King Albert. My castle sits high atop a hill overlooking lush valleys to the east. Every morning the rising sun streams into the stained glass windows of the castle, and we greet the new day. The Luminiere Mountains create the north border of the kingdom. The Muse River weaves through the land, providing fresh water. Up until a month ago, I could not have asked for anything more. I spent each day with my lovely queen, Rosemary, and our delightful daughter, the Princess Pea.
My greatest pleasure was to serenade my ladies in the evening before Pea went off to sleep. I would strum my guitar whilst singing the songs I remember from my childhood. Playing the guitar is a gift passed on to me by my dear mother, Josephine. I digress... Our lives were changed forever last month by an evil rat. He heartlessly took the life of my beloved queen. I have spent every day since mourning our loss and avowing to rid my kingdom of all rodents. They are vile things that must be eradicated! Since my queen's demise, I have been awakened at night by the sounds of rats and mice scurrying within the castle walls. I have outstanding hearing, which can be both a gift and a curse. My little daughter, Pea, is in denial. Bless her! She doesn't realize the danger these rodents present. Despite her tearful objections, I will continue my quest. After all, I am the king, and I know what is best for my kingdom.
